Fabulous Moolah passes away
Written: November 3, 2007
WWE is saddened by the passing of Hall of Famer Fabulous Moolah.
In the world of women’s wrestling, there will always be one irrefutable legend that stands head and shoulders above the rest: The Fabulous Moolah. She was the longest reigning champion in the history of her chosen sport, or any sport for that matter. And with more than 50 years in the business to her credit, she established a legacy that will never be forgotten, making her name synonymous with female wrestling.
WWE.com will have more on Fabulous Moolah as it becomes available.

So What Do You Think Of Sal So Far??
----Sal Corrente signed on to become one of my contributors on Saturday and I know some of you thought I lost my mind. I hope everyone has been as surprised as me at the columns. "The Big Cheese" is not as big as a goof as many of thought. He has written two very intelligent thought provoking columns. What do you guys think??

What Did You Think of Taylor McKnight??
----My impression of him is that is better than Corey doing play by play, but he is a bit nasal. Not sure if the Memphis Wrestling viewers would enjoy his voice or not. He does know his holds and comes off very professional. What do you think??

blog on respect and honor
I normally don't post on message boards because of all the drama that gets started, but I do read them often. I have read this board and several others over the last few weeks and have been sicken by what I have seen, so I put my opinion into a blog on my myspace called RESPECT AND HONOR of the Wrestling Business. I want to invite anyone that is interested in reading it to check out http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=222657938&blogID=294475145 or go to http://www.myspace.com/notoriousstarr and look under the blogs. The reason I posted on myspace and not here is only due to the fact of being longer then most messages on here I did not want it to take up too much space.
Please feel free to comment on it, I would love to know what others think. I do want to state that its not pointed at any one person, show, etc., its just the wrestling world in general. Everyone on here it talking about LACKED PSYCHOLOGY, what about the LACK OF RESPECT and HONOR.

Pacman
Ok heres the deal. I've heard more than 20 people say that they were shocked, surprized, or stunned at TNA bringing in Pacman Jones. I guess I'm in the minority then because I'm none of the above. No Pacman is not a wrestler and it seems a little absurd to bring him in. But lets wait one minute here...... If you look at the past this has been done thousands of times. Wrestlemania I saw a slew of people being brought in that had nothing to do with wrestling. Mr. T might not have been much of a stretch but does anyone remember Cindy Lopper ? What about in the 90's when WCW brought in Rodman? What about Tyson being brought in as a referee? Heck Andy Kaufman was even brought in in Memphis back in the day. The point is this. TNA has a wrestling product that not alot of people know about. If they do know about it, they are not telling anyone else to watch, because the ratings stay pretty much the same. They do there best to advertise but lets face it its easy to forget about TNA. To this point they haven't really done anything to stand out. Until now! Yahoo, USA today, CNN, Fox, ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPN news, and ESPN radio have basicaly been plugging his appearance for Thursday all day long. I kid you not, I've heard them on ESPN radio mention TNAwrestling.com about 20 times on a 10 minute ride home.
In my humble opinion, this might have been the smartest thing, ratings wise, that TNA has ever done. I'm sure TNA's wed site hits have skyrocketed by curious people that want to see whats up with Pacman. If they can use this correctly the shows numbers should go up as well. Here though is where it becomes crucial for TNA to do this right. If I was running the show for Thursday, this is what I'd do. Run 4 really good matches and show what your company has to offer wrestling fans. Throw video recaps of fueds that are going on that are not adressed by the matches. Make sure in those 4 matches that you have you get at least 3 big established names in there somewhere. (Like a match with Sting, Angle, Nash, The Dudley's, or Christian) these guys are familiar faces to WWE and WCW fans that may not be familiar with TNA. Tease the fact that Pacman is in the building all night long. Then with 5 to 7 minutes left in the show, bring him to the ring for an interview. Interrupt that interview with a fresh heel ( like AJ, Rude, or Shelly) as a way to give the rub to someone new. Then just when it looks like all is lost and Pacman is cornered, out comes a baby to help out. (Jarrett would be perfect for this) Then you could do one of two things. 1: you could have Pac help Jarrett defeat the heel or 2: Pac turns on Jarrett and helps the heel. Either way would work. They just need to keep him off till the final minutes of the show. This almost forces people that tuned in to see Pac to have to watch the whole show. Then all you have to do is make sure the show delivers. This is just my opinion though. What do you think?

Wildside and PK Ripper Response?? What'ca Think??
----My first thoughts are that I thought that Wildside came off pretty good. He can talk - always has been a good talker. Some of the stuff that he said was more or less the "company line" and handled himself well wishing everyone good luck. The guy asking the questions was Jon Seymore and he was horrible. I typed those questions in like 3 minutes and was rushing to get them to PK. As someone that is suppose to be ask the questions - he could have been a bit professional and cleaned up my mistakes. PK in gimmick cracked me up. I could not quit laughing thinking that he did the interview in full gimmick!! 'Nuff said right now as I want to hear the opinions of others and I don't want my opinion to influence you.

Who Is The Next Legend??
----This is a converstation I have had for the last few days with various people including Gene Jackson, Brian Thompson and workers that would rather kayfabe. I will comment on it more when I can get a discussion going about it, because I have my ideas - I just want you guys to think!! LOL
----The year is 2022 and I am planning a big "Legends" show celebrating 15 years of rasslinriotonline.com. Who would be on that show?? Please do not say Bill Dundee and Jerry Lawler, because we all know THEY WILL BE THERE. LOL But, what other person or persons has Memphis Wrestling and the surrounding area built to replace the current legends??

Void/Walker interview?? What did you think??
----So, what did you think?? I am a bit on the fence on this one. I have worked places before that kept treating me like shit - no pay and such. But, when you got guys like Void/Bradley - with real good talent - why would they continue to work for TIWF when they were not getting paid?? The whole situation would be partially their fault for staying; right??

UWF Final Show Joneboro AR
Hey Guys
I am new to the board. Some of you old timers will remember me as David Haskins. I have not worked under that name since 1986. I was lucky enough for Eddie Gilbert to bring me into MidSouth owned by Bill Watts and they teamed me with a guy name Shane Douglas we competed for the UWF rookie of the year along with Steve Cox(DR Death protege) and Gary Young who lives in Little Rock now. Brain told me he was present at the above mentioned Jonesboro show.It was there that the biggest rib ever pulled on me in the wrestling business took place. The next day was a pay per view Terry Taylor vs Nikita Koloff for the World TV title.I was working Taylor that night in Jonesboro . We wre supposed to do a 30 minute broadway. The Late Pee Wee Anderson was the referee and Tommy Gilbert gave the finishes because Eddie was the booker. At about the 28 minute mark Taylor said try to pin me every way you can think of so I did Small packages school boys any kind of cradle you can thank of.The last deal he cut me off and went to slam me put me behind him and said roll me up so I pushed him into the ropes and rolled him up. Pee Wee counted 1 2 3 And I was shocked about 12,000 people were losing their minds as I stood in Disbelief I was shocked worst than them. Taylor was yelling that I was shooting on him I am still stunned Pee Wee is saying what are you doing you screwed up the whole pay per view as he pushed me through the people to the dressing room. I go in and Eddie and Tommy start going crazy I am saying I am sorry and I didn't do anything. Then Taylor comes in and goes crazy for about 5 minutes then Eddie starts laughing and every one says it was a rib. I had never been so relived in my life. But it was a great end to a great territory. Was anyone else there.

Sal Corrente Interview??
So what did you think?? I thought it was interesting, but at times Sal came off a little too brash. The comments about "another WWE performer" out of control was a little too much for me. It was as if he was comparing himself to the Benoit situation and the seriousness of the Lawler/Corrente story is nothing near that. I also thought it was a little over the edge, when he said something to the effect that Lawler had murder in his eyes?? All and all I thought it was interesting and informing especially about the inner workings of Memphis Wrestling.
Welcome to The Board!!
----I would like to welcome everyone to the new RRO message board. It is something that I really needed to add to the site. The difference between my board and others with be #1 - it will be BLOG format. That is much like any other board with the main topic, then everyone can make comments on what is said. Or you can even start your new topic for others to comment on. #2: You must have an invite to join the board. You can do that by two ways - e-mail me and request an invite or many of you will get an invite anyway. I have no problem with you kayfabing your name to world. But, I must know who you are and have control over what is said in general. I have no problem with you blasting me or saying I am wrong and such. But, no personal stuff on anyone unless it pertains to the news.
